CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Deidra NAME: Deidra (celtic name, means wanderer)
RACE: Elf
HAIR: Black, two long tufts in the front, clasped together above ears with silver rings. Her hair is thick, and moderatley curly. The rest of the hair is kept in a bun at the top of her head.
EYES: White with a slit pupil (like a cat).
HEIGHT: 170 cm
BUILT: Slender, lithe, and fair with a light skintone. Just think "elf" and you've got it.
AGE: Old??? She's an elf, so she's like... ageless. Looks about 19 - 24 (she's been seeking the moonstone for quite a while).
SPECIAL FACULTIES: Pointy ears. The colour of her blood, and the skin at the neck is blue, and three moonstones are etched into her skin there. In the back of her neck she has a dimple about the same size as the middle stone in the front.

Of her kind of elves, some are blue-blooded. A very fine and unique trait that they want to show to everyone. They colour the neck by sticking fine needles in the skin on the neck (where the veins are more visible) so the blood pours out and colours the neck blue. Kind of like a backwards tattoo. To get the blue blood not to fade away they use the substance they get from pressing the roots of a certain flower and put it on the neck directly after they've stung it with the needles. They have to renew it every 10 years or so though. Due to their blood being blue that makes their skin tone in other ways than red-blooded creatures. The lips usually take a purplish tone.

LIKES: Looking at the sky (especially at night when any the four moons are up), daydreaming, nature, adventures. She's very curious about things.

DISLIKES: When the moon and stars are clouded, and staying too long living inside a house since she likes it better under the open sky.

BACKGROUND: Deidra is a traveller. She seeks the fourth moonstone, that would fit in the dimple in the back of her neck. When she was a baby her parents sought an oracle that gave them the three moonstones she wears on her neck. The stones directly mended with her skin when they touched the dimples she had there. Although there was one stone missing, the one who'd fit in the dimple in the back of her neck. The oracle told her parents that it was Deidra's destiny and purpose to seek for that fourth moonstone, because if she found it and fitted it into the dimple something wonderful would happen. With her on her way she has a moon compass, that the oracle also gave her parents, and it will lead her way under the world's four moons. Each one of the stones has their origin in one of the moons. The moons are all marked at the compass, as well as a detailed version of the starry sky; a small star chart that changes as the planet turns so that she will always be heading the right way.

ART GUIDELINES: Don't design new clothes for her. Deidra is not very likely to change clothes very often. All that she owns she carries with her, and more important things (like food, and a warm cloak) than another set of clothes take up the space in her backpack.
